Hi everyone, today I would love to share with you
a watercolor card I created, using some old stamps I have in my stash from
Great Impressions for Father’s Day. I received some Tim Holtz Distress Markers
for Christmas and had not yet, had a chance to really play with them, so I thought why not try them out with some
watercolor techniques.
I first stamped my images on some watercolor paper and began
to color in the images using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. This is the first time
I have colored with these markers. I began by applying a light coat of water
where I wanted the color and in a circular motion began to spread the color
with a watercolor paint brush. To get the darker colors for shadowing I just
added more layers of the distress marker and blended it out.
For the background I applied Distress Inks in Peacock
Feathers and Tumbled Glass to my mat and added some water. I then applies water
with my brush to the background and picked up the color with my paint brush and
applied to i got the desired color I was looking for.
