SPOOKY Altered Frame DT for SWMEB

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today. I want to share this adorable Spooky Frame I created using a wood frame I found in my stash.

I first covered the frame sides with some black acrylic paint.  After it dried, I covered the front of the frame in the After Dark Paper Collection, from Crate Paper, and adhered it with some gel medium.  I then covered the entire frame with a clear embossing powder, to give the frame a glossy look. In our Design Team Kit this month there was some glow in the dark embossing powder.  I took a embossing pen and colored in the circles with the embossing pen and applied some of the glow in the dark embossing powder.

I cut out the Rickey House, Candle Fright Spider and On the Fence Time Holtz Alterations Dies in chipboard and painted each one of them with black acrylic paint.  I took a dry paint brush and went over the house and fence with a dry brush, using white gesso.  I then applied a couple of coats of clear embossing powder, to give them a glossy look. I then applied them to the frame with some E6000 glue and hot glue, to arrange them on the frame.  I added some cute puffy stickers spelling out Spooky,

I received my Design Team SWMB September kit  Crate Paper After Dark and it is packed full of wonderful goodness and you guessed it is all about Halloween and Fall. I created a altered witches hat and have  a complete step by step tutorial on how i created this gorgeous hat below.

I picked the pumpkin up at Walmart and used my Silhouette to cut out some vinyl to crate the pumpkin face and attached the hat to the top. I really like how this turns out.

Altered Grungy Cigar Box

Hello everyone, hope you are having a wonderful day. I want to share with you, this altered cigar box tutorial I created, for Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique with the June Kit. I used the Durable Paper Collection from Authentique.  Love the grunge look of this paper, makes it super easy to come up with some cool projects for that special guy in your life.

I began by painting the box with some Faded Jeans Distress Spray Stain and added a piece of the Authentique Durable Paper Collection on top of the box with some gel medium.  I really wanted the top of the box to have lot of layers. I then added some molding paste with some stencils.

The clip art of the antique cars are some I found on the internet for free and I printed them on some grunge paper and added  some of the Distress Crackle Paint in  Clear Rock Candy.  I am loving the cracked class look.

I added some recollection micro beads in copper, gold and silver and added some Lindy's Embossing Powder in the Kaiser Russet Red.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial, a couple of times I am out of frame and I am very sorry about that.

Father’s Day Watercolor Card

Hi everyone, today I would love to share with you a watercolor card I created, using some old stamps I have in my stash from Great Impressions for Father’s Day. I received some Tim Holtz Distress Markers for Christmas and had not yet, had a chance to really play with them,  so I thought why not try them out with some watercolor techniques.

I first stamped my images on some watercolor paper and began to color in the images using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. This is the first time I have colored with these markers. I began by applying a light coat of water where I wanted the color and in a circular motion began to spread the color with a watercolor paint brush. To get the darker colors for shadowing I just added more layers of the distress marker and blended it out.

For the background I applied Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass to my mat and added some water. I then applies water with my brush to the background and picked up the color with my paint brush and applied to i got the desired color I was looking for.
