Valentine's Day Monkey Card

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and love is in the air.   Today I want to share with you a quick Valentine’s Day card I created.

The red card base was cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and folded in half.  I then cut a piece of craft cardstock 4” x 5 ½” and layered it on top of the card base.  I used the pierced square die and cut a piece of designer paper from the Authentique smitten 6 x 6 paper pad.

The monkey was stamped on some water color paper and colored with the tim holtz distress markers.   After coloring the image in, I centered the image in pierced square die and cut it out.  I applied some stickles to the heart balloons and layered the image on the design paper collection.  The sentiment was stamped with some red distress ink and the hearts where colored in with the distress makers.  To dress the card up a little more, I created a bow out of craft twine I had and applied a jem to the center of the bow.

I really love how this came out and I hope you are have a wonderful Valentine’s Day with your family and friends.

Valentine's Day Card

Happy Friday my crafty peeps.  I hope you are having a wonderful day.  I decided to create a Valentines card using a Recollections Stamp Set  I had in my stash.

The card base measures 4 ¼” x 5 ½”, the rest of the layers are cut as follow: Craft card stock 4” x 5 ¼”, Authentique Smitten paper collection cut at 3 ¾” x 5” and red cardstock cut at 2 ¾” x 4” and adheared each layer with some double sided tape. I stamped the mason jar with black ink and then using a pair of scissors. cut out the jar.  The lid of the mason jar was stamped on white card stock with some red distress ink.  To give the lid some more texture, I  used a white jelly  pen to accent the white dots on the lid.  I then took some craft twine  and wrapped it around the lid and created a small bow to attach to the top.
The stamp set also had a few tag stamps so I stamped a couple of them on some pink cardstock and punched a hole in the tops and attached them to the top of the mason jar lid with some twine.

The sentiment is a Michael’s dollar spot stamp I had in my stash from prior years, I used some versa mark and gold embossing powder to stamp on some white card stock. To finish off the card I applied some sequence to the inside of the jar and a few smaller hearts floating at the top of the lid.

These are the Days Note Card

Hello all my crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I really enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Today, I want to share a quick card  I created, using the December Kit from Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique.

The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/2", the background was cut using a piece of These are the Days paper collection from Webster Pages, measuring 4" x 4 1/4".

I took a doily I found on my craft table and applied it to the corner of the card and cut off the corners.  An ephemera pack came in the design team kit and just fell in love with the bright cheerful colors. I took two of the feathers and arranged them on the card and applied a cluster of the flowers over the top. Added a color banner that came in the ephemera  pack and stamped a sentiment directly on the background and added 3 gold sequin to finish off the card.

Fall Autumn Card

Hello all my crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today, I want to share a quick card process video, of this adorable card I created, using the November Kit from Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique.

The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/2", the background was cut using a piece of The Story of Fall, by Lori Whitlock, measuring 4" x 4 1/4".

I found the circle scallop in some scraps on my craft table.  I took some twine and wrapped it around a few times.  I then took a couple of the tags from the sticker sheet and backed them with some cardstock and fussy cut them out.  I added some twine I had in my stash to the tops of the tag and used them as charms.

I cut a strip of Cajun cardstock and stamped the sentiment using some brown ink.  I notched out one end and created a flag and added 3 small flowers that came in the kit.

Hello all my crafty friends, I hope you all had  a wonderful weekend.  Today I want to share a super easy Fall Card  I created using the Bo Bunny Lovely Leaf Die that came in the November Kit over at Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique.

The card base measures 4 ¼” by 4 ½” the background paper was cut using Orange Leaf from the paper collection measuring 4" x 4 1/4" .  I then cut one of each one of the leafs in some cardstock and a piece of the pattern paper that came in the kit.  Arranging the leafs in a cluster I added some twine and some orange flowers to finish off it off.

SPOOKY Altered Frame DT for SWMEB

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today. I want to share this adorable Spooky Frame I created using a wood frame I found in my stash.

I first covered the frame sides with some black acrylic paint.  After it dried, I covered the front of the frame in the After Dark Paper Collection, from Crate Paper, and adhered it with some gel medium.  I then covered the entire frame with a clear embossing powder, to give the frame a glossy look. In our Design Team Kit this month there was some glow in the dark embossing powder.  I took a embossing pen and colored in the circles with the embossing pen and applied some of the glow in the dark embossing powder.

I cut out the Rickey House, Candle Fright Spider and On the Fence Time Holtz Alterations Dies in chipboard and painted each one of them with black acrylic paint.  I took a dry paint brush and went over the house and fence with a dry brush, using white gesso.  I then applied a couple of coats of clear embossing powder, to give them a glossy look. I then applied them to the frame with some E6000 glue and hot glue, to arrange them on the frame.  I added some cute puffy stickers spelling out Spooky,
